Project - Damp Proofing
Treating damp in a 300 year old stone Bastide can be almost impossible, especially as this property is half buried at the back.
After research we found an innovative product to slow the rising damp. We applied a special product and sheeting to the walls presenting damp and created an internal drain with external evacuation at the foot of each wall showing damp. This will stop the damp from forming and lets the
excess water evacuate naturally.
The finishing touches were to rebuild walls, plaster and paint. The modifications were virtually unnoticeable other than the fact that there was no more damp.
Interior Decoration
Open wooden beams can be a real feature in a property if treated correctly. Unfortunately in this villa the beams had been left rough cut and stained since the construction of the house.
We were tasked to give the beams and ceiling the care that had been missing for so many years. We smoothed down each beam, treated for insects and sealed them. The second part of our task was making a feature of a stunning ceiling. We painted a duo tone effect making the beams really stand out. Our clients were very pleased with the outcome.

Pool renovations
Excessive use of pool chemicals like acid HP+ and chlorine damage the piping of a swimming pool as all professionals know. That is what happened to this pool, the skimmer pipe was chemically burned and ruptured (see photos). The filtration system could not work properly so the water turned green and the pool was losing a lot of water. In order to reach the damaged pipe the skimmers had to be removed and the decking replaced. We installed a new pipe under the decking.
New skimmers were fitted and new tiles for the decking. It looked as if nothing had been changed . We emptied the stagnating green water, power hosed and acid cleaned the entire pool before refilling it for the enjoyment of all occupants during the summer

Book Shelf Wall
Whilst renovating a loft space, we were troubled by a steep and dangerous stair case. So we thought about how would the best way to secure and close off this area. After having spoken with the owner and provided a written quote, he approved that a builder install a purpose built set of bookshelves.
The photos speak for themselves and show that this project literally transformed the room from an old open space to a cozy living area.
