Tucked away in a tiny quiet square below the ruined castle walls in the medieval hill top village of Callas in the Var, you will find this beautifully restored old village house with fantastic views over rolling countryside, that can sleep up to 4 persons.

This beautiful old stone house is on 3 floors, walk into it's homely living area with dining room, open fireplace and kitchen. The middle floor has 1 double bedroom, one twin bedroom, shower room and separate WC.

The top floor has a bright living room with a full sized sofa bed, TV, DVD and stereo system. Beside the living room there is the south facing roof terrace where the views of the Maures & Esterals mountain range and the sea can be seen while you dine or simply soak up the sun.

Callas village is a typical Provencal hill village with twisting narrow streets leading to many little squares, fountains with mountain running water, lovely to run your hand under on a hot summer’s day. The church tower stands high above the village and the rolling countryside in the valley below dominating the sky line .  It has a small selection of shops, a bar, post office and a few restaurantsall within easy walk from the villa.  

A large "lavoir" on the main street in the lower village is in a two-story building with a pillared facade. The upper part of the building, on the right side, is still labeled "DOUCHES", from when this was the public baths (or showers) for Callas Just below the village is an ancient olive mill (moulin à huile) that now doubles as a gift shop. In addition to olive oil, you can find olive-wood items and pottery. The old water wheel is no longer working, but the metal frame is nicely painted and the old wooden slats are still in place.
